So I have two 7 gallons, and they are quite pathetic.
I’m not sure how everyone does it, makes their tanks look nice. I can’t seem to succeed in this hobby. It’s hard as hell.

What’s everyone’s secret? Is there one or is it just luck?

Hi Kayli,
Have patient and ask when you not sure

Don't beat yourself up.

Lets start with the troubles. Why do you think the tank scape is keeping you from succeeding?

Also, lets get some more information. How old are the tanks? Pictures? List of equipment?

Hi Kayli and welcome to R2R!

Don’t beat yourself up and maybe get us some pictures and water parameters to see if everyone can help?

Patience
Good quality live rock
The correct balance of height and width.

Make sure you have focal points at different heights etc. It can be frustrating. My first 3 attempts were awful but the i got the gang of it.
