Maybe I just got lucky, but this is what I ordered. https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256806874894801.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.1.3a5f797eJeguov&algo_pvid=8621d660-e5ec-49ed-82af-da7363ea5395&algo_exp_id=8621d660-e5ec-49ed-82af-da7363ea5395-0&pdp_npi=4@dis!USD!48.00!48.00!!!48.00!48.00!@2101ec1a17374005173147224e194f!12000039274921220!sea!US!1982146681!X&curPageLogUid=toUqX9oA1lV2&utparam-url=scene:search|query_from: It does have a mini din connector, 4 pin and does work on my Apex A2
It works perfectly; you may end up paying an extra fee via USPS, but they relaxed the ban. They need to set up a system to collect tarries on shipments from China.Just ordered this probe! We’ll see if it works for me. Hopefully, they figure out a shipping method now that USPS doesn’t want to ship from China
Nice idea to sleeve it up instead of removing it. I have bio media just right below the probe so I just leave it there to protect the fragile glass since the glass probe still can reach the water. Hope it works well.I just slid the shield up and out of the way. Works fine for me.
I've found their shipping time estimates to be pretty good. Just ordered one now and it says 1-2 weeks. From a few recent orders I've made, that's been about right (ordering to the UK, if that matters). How long is the shipping taking on average? I have never ordered from Aliexpress, I hear people order all the time but Im hesitant
what type of refractormeter are you using?I’m having an issue with calibrating it. No matter what I do in the apex, it doesn’t want to calibrate using the auto calibrate feature.
I do use the manual calibration but on the second part, it stays pegged at 50% confidence and doesn’t want to go to 100%
Also after I complete after 50%, it reads 35 ppt in the testing solution however once it goes into the tank it drops to 30 (refractometer tested 34.5)
I might suggest that the tropic marine hydrometer is probably the least accurate to use for calibration (its ok for double checking a value - perhaps thats what you're using it for?) - the most accurate for calibration would be using a standard solution to calibrate your refractometer (like 35 salinity) - and then using that to double check the rest.what type of refractormeter are you using?
I ended up getting a tropic marine hydrometer and use that to calibrate my Hannah salinity tester, my refractormeter and to cross check it against my apex salinity probe
This is the one I bought: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/100....order_list.order_list_main.26.72c31802LOAmXYcan anyone post an allieexpress link that takes you to the product. I've clicked on several the last couple of pages, and I just get a "does not exist" page over on Allie Express. Thanks
this is just so weird..So I click on the link you provided and it takes me to AlieExpress page, and I'll see the Probe image for about 1 second and then it goes blank and just shows me an message that says "Sorry, the page you requested cannot be found" See my image. That's all I see. This is the one I bought: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/100....order_list.order_list_main.26.72c31802LOAmXY
I wouldn't say it is rock solid, at least I haven't gotten it there yet.
