Water isn't a guarantee source of 0. The solution is or should be.

I've done it, but your sure you calibrated to 1.0 and not 0?

Pretty big discrepancy. Must be doing something funky. Test rodi water with it and see what you get

Hi Ken. weird we were talking about your tank and I though something was off. Yes, use the calibration fliud and yes you can compare it to rodi. and yes def fine to get a second opinion.
bring it up slowly w water changes. youll be fine. dont sweat it.

Well just got back from my lfs and it was calibrated wrong, so my salinity is at 1.025. Wheeeww!!!
