Is there anything that ‘helps’ prevent water/moisture damage inside the canopy & extend its life? Salt + water will destroy anything given enough time but curious what the community has done to combat the inevitable.

Small fans? De-Humidifier? Anything??

Is it necessary to have much of a 'back' at all, since it's not seen with the front canopy doors shut. I bet if you had an open back canopy, any such problems would completely go away. My 2-cents, anyway. Best wishes!

I built my canopy three years ago. It’s probably 8” tall and my lights (Noopsyche) are about 6” above the water. I painted the interior white thinking that white is more reflective.
I left the back open and, so far, have not had any issues with the lights. I can see a little condensation on the lights housing before they come on but it’s minimal. It disappears once the lights warm up.
I used to have three firefish gobies but they all jumped out through the rear opening within a months time.

Good info. I ordered a mesh lid just for that reason

I used to have that problem as well with open back canopies. I started using zip ties to hold mesh or egg crate across the back on my light mounts. This made it impossible for fish to jump out.
