It's a white blotch about the size of a dime, the fish is pretty big maybe 4". I think it's just where the shrimp is cleaning too much.
I'm thinking that if the shrimp was truly irritating the fish, the fish would not tolerate it.
Which then leads me to believe that the shrimp may be eating dead tissue, thus keeping any possible infection at bay. If the scales on the fish have been damaged during an accident or disease or parasite, they wont grow back. Which is most likely what your seeing.
It is good to hear that the fish is otherwise happy and eating

I'm having a bit of a cyano problem in the tank but everything seems fine...
And to get rid of the cyanos you may need to do several in a row ... often that works to get rid of them ... and siphon out whatever coating you can ... good luck .... i am sure you'll figure out a way to eradicate themThanks Albert! Yeah I don't think I've done a water change in quite some time so the tank is definitely in need of one....
