Thanks, I'm trying to save that Symphillia Willsonni, it's being difficult but I think it's on the mend now. I've got more pic's to post!

Glad to read that it is starting to be reviving .. they can be touchy sometimes indeed ... Closed brains sometimes are but then they are IME quite hardy as long as nothing has stung them and damage the polyp tissue ...

Thanks, I'm really digging this little tank.

Yeah it was one of the corals that had issues in my 120g with all the hair algae.

If there is no polyp loss it should IMO come back but it may take its time. Also they are aggressive eaters so feeding them often will more than likely help. Moderate non-laminar flow of water is best and also making sure that no detritus remains deposited on the Polyp tissue ... Keep us posted ..

Well the new clownfish is in and is a cute little fella! I also added 2 Fromia Stars, I hope they do well.

A couple pic's of the feeding frenzy!

And another of how the tank looks now with the new shelf and light.

Nice but do read up on the Fromias as they are not that easy to keep for the long term .. nutrition is usually the issue because of what they feed on (micro organisms and micro algae). Usually introduced in very well established tanks .. FWIW

This tank is over a year old now. I have lots of green algae in the tank. I actually have to clean the glass every 3 days because it turns green so fast.

Well hopefully they will find enough to feed on then .. do keep an eye on them and any changes in the skin color or make up though just to be on the safe side ...

My cleaner shrimp has been picking on my Yellow Watchman Goby, to the point that he has a large white spot on his right side. Has anyone see this before?

Sent Via the R2R Forum APP

Is the Goby standing for it? If so then the Goby may actually have a parasite that the shrimp is trying to get ride of. Do you target feed the shrimp? If not, try doing so with a lil something meaty, see if he stops picking at the Goby.

Yeah last night I thought the Goby was dead, mouth gaping open and stiff as a board. The shrimp was all over it. I went to reach into the tank and pull the Goby out and it darted back into the rocks. The shrimp go's nuts when Sarah feeds the tank, he gets a lot of food for sure. Molts almost weekly.

Could it have been lockjaw ? Or is it back to normal now ?
