I currently have a 55 gallon saltwater water tank and would like some help in buying programmable LED lights. I would like them good enough that would go half way up the coral chart.

Explain a little bit about what you mean by "programmable" and "coral chart".

As a starter, for your size tank 3-watt GU10 bulbs can make an extremely EASY and INEXPENSIVE diy led fixture - around $50-$100 total. This would just be a on/off control, so you'd hook it up to a timer. You'd be able to keep SPS or anything else under this light.

I have used the "China" made fixtures that give you on off control and final adjustability. I now use AI Sol which give you all the control/programmability you want.
Highly recommend any of the AI or Ecotech lights. Cost more but well worth it.

Check out this review. I used it when deciding on which lights to use on my current tank. I had 3 AI Vega's on my last tank and couldn't keep SPS...I guess I could just never get them dialed in correctly. I've got two Kessil A360ew's on my 75g and everything is doing great. SPS are growing and LPS are nice and full (just found a baby on one of my blastos. With them you just set the intensity and color percentages. I've got them connected to my apex.
