hey everyone, it seems my 12 yo coralife aqualight pro is on its last leg. and can no longer get ballasts for it. hey its been a good run. so i want to make the leap to L.E.D. and i have a wife! so cost is of course an issue. i have been researching everything and almost bought some mars aquas. but then i stumbled onto the sb ultra 45. and mike says it will cover my 60x24x18 120g. the lights been out 6 months and there is almost no reviews or data on this light, and was wondering if anyone has any insight and pictures for me before i pull $700 out of my rear for this. thanks for any help

Got one right after they came out for my 90. Very solid build. No fans, so no noise. Way more power than I could ever use. Plenty of spectrum range. You use your phone to control the light. Sometimes my iPhone defaults to the wifi signal from the light instead of my house wifi. Don't know why it does that every once in awhile. You can create as many programs on your phone as you would possibly ever use. Easy to switch from one program to the next. Programming is a ritual. You have to follow the same steps over and over, exactly. Mike has a video online where he demonstrates programming. Easy for him; was a bit of a struggle for me (old guy) to get it right initially. Overall, I like it a lot. Definite recommend.

might be best to just retrofit t5 bulbs in lol
Ether would be ok, this is a fairly large electronic ballast. It is about 10 1/4 by 3 1/4 it would run ether bulb no problem and it will run them at a higher output. if you wanted to use the PC bulb you would cut the wires at the plug side and put the ballist in for T5 you would wire the same as the diagram
