Scoly frags??

I went to a new fish store yesterday and saw scoly frags I was really tempted to buy one but decided I didn't know enough about them so I didn't get one. I have a few questions before I make the purchase. The frags were shaped like a slice of pie like they had cut a scoly into 4 pieces. I would like to know if anyone has seen scoly frags before or have experience with them. My main question is will it grow round again and if so approximately how long would it take? Are these frags difficult to care for?
Any help or info is greatly appreciated.

I know you can frag scolys but I have no idea how it will look when it heals. I don't know if it will grow back looking normal.

You can help them grow faster by making an artificial skeleton with epoxy or something like that around the frag.

ReefKoi did it when he tried to make frankenscolys. I'll look for the thread but I'm pretty sure the only thing wrong with them is that they didn't grow perfectly round again.

That goes for acans as well! Just thought I'd toss that out there.

I've seen a local LFS who also has Scoly frags once in a while, could never bring myself to buy one.

I've seen a thread before where the guy fragged a scoly and it looked a disaster. I have heard the same from other hobbyist it takes too long for them to regain that shape again

Any idea of how they reproduce?
My Aussie scoly was nipped on by something in my tank to the point that when I took it out to my other tank it had no more mouth and very little tissue. That was aroud 2-3 months back. Now its 90% back to what it was with the mouth reappearing and perfectly healing in less than couple fo weeks. Still that's nothing compared to getting cut in 4 where it has to rebuild its skeleton.
