Sea Horses, small tank- Need Filtration Advice

Does anyone have a 10-gallon tank dedicated to a pair of sea horses? If so, what are you using to manage your filtration on this tank for biology and very low flow? External or canister or internal as well as media used.

an airstone - driven sponge filter could be a good option for low flow.

You can keep dwarf seahorses, but please don't put regular seahorses in a 10 gallon, that would be inadequate. They need at least 30 gallons for a pair, and 18" depth tank, the tank depth is important.

I don't know squat about seahorses but was at my friends a few days ago and he told me one of the misnomers were that they don't like flow. He turns off the flow to feed them.

I would go 24" or more top to bottom after viewing his system. If you give them room they'll use it. I thought seahorses were boring because they just sat there but after seeing his tank I was very wrong.
They are fascinating creatures.

His system is 60g 20x20x30 tall and they use all the of that height.

His are big 4+ inches.

Just make sure you do your research or can pick someones brain that actually has them.
