sea water

May I add slight amount of sea water in my tank in order to get sea water components as some components are not found in home tank.
please advise

If you have access to it great. Depending on your source though, you might add something's you might not want. ie aiptasia and other pests.

There was a reefer on the east coast here in Florida using NSW a few years back. He swore by it. He is out of the hobby, now. I know that once in a while, we get "red tide" in Florida. Not sure about your location. If I were to go for NSW I would make sure I got it from an inlet area at high tide. There was a video on here, or maybe the "other reef website," a while back showing a guy in South Florida getting NSW. The water was moving like there was no tomorrow in or near an inlet, which would be better than getting stagnant water from a tide pool.

You can also see if there's a college with marine biology center near by. I get my NSW from UNCW. It goes through several sand bed filters, uv and carbon filters. They have a fill station for the local reefers. In love it. I believe there's trace elements that can't be found in a bottle. It's plumbed in from an inlet like 2 miles away. I do avoid it for a few days after storm surge or heavy rain.
