Sfin's Dream.

Looks aMAZEing. My instant thought was something smart and witty with an anti MI slant but I will reserve those comments for a better time and place.

Just don't get mean on them ribbon eels, they didn't choose to be blue (or did they?)... But they're oh so beautiful!

Thanks for the welcome! Not going to lie took a few days to get through it.

We always manage to return to reefing.

Well then it's nice to see that MI now is offering a major in Finger Painting. You know for it's advanced students.

I have to make a screen top. Any suggestions I'm a little worried about aluminum as the frame.
Get one of those kits from BRS. Ive got a 24" one that I havent put together yet still have the egg crate, and that tank will be coral-less soon. I will keep it up for QT for a bit though so that top will come in handy for the wrasses.

My understanding it's aluminum

I went looking for the thread but couldn't find it. Someone here made a screen top using eggcrate and the mesh from BRS. I think they used zip ties to hold the mesh. I thought it was a great idea. The problem with eggcrate is it blocks and distorts the light angle a bit.

Wow the rest of that didn't go........
So what he did was just use the eggcrate around the rim, like 2 square worth. Then the mesh covered the entirety of the top. Really wish I could find it. Hope the idea I'm trying to convey is getting through.
