Tell your son Chris says, "Thanks for making my day! Keep up the good work!"

Ok I'm bragging on my brother Sam. The guns that are up for grab are the ones being shot

My brother just won an m1 garand in a shooting competition. 25 yrds iron sights 4 targets on a 8.5*11 Target world war ii faces. 38/40

He is leading in another competition 30/30 all shots touching. Iron sights 25 yrds 1943 British Lee Enfield

Time to let the cat out of the bag. I tested nitrates the other day well over 100 took a sample to the lfs and tested the same. Crap wish it was just my test kit. Stress stress some more stress. Call on some great individuals calmed down and come up with a solid plan.

I run a canister Fx4. I religiously clean that thing. Every month I clean it scrub it the whole 9 yrds. Never thought about cleaning the hoses. That has been fixed and it was down right nasty.

After talking to several people about my issue I'm seriously over feeding. Yep my fish are fat and happy.

They have just been voluntold they have a new years resolution. The food god has declared they are going on a diet.

Step two. I'm going to buy a aquaclear 110 and mod it for a refugium. Bonus my Leapord will have a full of pods.

Step three if needed is to remove all foam filters and run the canister with just media.

Great plan!

@Erin O you are running a canister as well. I would recommend changing out the lines from ribbed to a smooth. Small shrimp and pieces of fish can get caught in the ribs and stay there turning into nitrates.

Not sure.
I'd probably run cheap nylon braided flex tubing, that way you can see when it gets nasty and needs to be replaced and buy double what you need so when it needs to be replaced no waiting just cut and replace quick.
