Hi
My name is Edwin , I’m pretty much new to saltwater but I like to start a shallow reef, I have my eye on the uns 24x14x7 shallow tank but I like to put an overflow.
Does anyone here have a similar tank?
For stoking I would like a pair of clownfish, cleaner shrimp and soft coral!
It’s this doable , I would be doing weekly water changes, by the way the tank will have a Túnze nano ato!
Forgot to ask, does anyone here drill tank
I’m local in Tustin California

Welcome to R2R!

I do like shallow tanks my self! 7" is pretty shallow, that won't leave much room when things start growing in. I am not discouraging you, just throwing it out there.

You can Google on how to drill a tank. It is pretty simple honestly. If you don't feel confident, look around for a Glass shop... like the ones that sell plate glass, etc.

Welcome!

I like shallow tanks too, but 7 inches? That's a bit too small in my opinion. 10 gallons is borderline too small for a pair of clowns, especially as they grow. The 7 inch tank height, when you consider substrate and rock, will also give your corals minimal room to grow. I'd suggest you check out these kits if you're looking for an affordable shallow/lagoon tank: https://reefcasa.com/saltwater-aquarium-kits/?currency=USD

Thank for the feedback, I’ll definitely ask around, don’t want to break a new tank
