Great choice! I couldn't recommend Avast Marine Works products and the owners more! Good luck and I hope you have a great Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving to you too! I am thrilled with the quality of the Avast reactors so far. I have now doubt they won't let me down once they're hooked up.

+1 to this. Anyone who has not used an Avast Product should think seriously about looking around at what they have. Thoms is correct!

Congrats! My wife gets a new kitchen remodel and expansion. Afterwards I will seek her approval on a reeftank.......
Your going about that the wrong way. I understand your logic but many men go wrong here for some reason. You think your going to make her happy first and then she will say yes to because she loves you and wants to make you happy.

That is WRONG.

Is like a hostage negotiator giving the bad guy all his requests. Bad guy sits there eating pizza and then hostage negotiator says ok can you release the hostages now? Bad guy then decides he wants some more requests... So on and so on.

Bad plan. You need to go back to the drawing board.

:)

I use to think I was slick whenever I bought anything for the tank, whether it be livestock or equipment. She never batted an eye. I thought "ah she doesn't know what any of this costs."

Turns out she knows exactly what everything costs within a reasonable range. She just didn't mind me buying it. I don't know what is more frightening, that she knows the pricing of a hobby she isn't interested in, or that she has never once broached the topic of cost with me. The only time my wife complains about the aquarium is when I leave stuff lying about the house. I have a terrible habit of treating everything within 30 feet as temporary storage. Buckets, pumps, toothbrushes, glass cleaners, food, tubing, boxes, etc.

I know everyone here is having a good time with the light ribbing of their significant other, but judging by the day I think now is as good a time as any to be thankful, I'd say most of us should be thankful of having spouses that are so willing to put up with the headache of a saltwater aquarium. I know I get irritated with my tanks at times and I love them. I cant imagine watching someone potentially spend thousands of dollars on the hobby and still finding stuff to complain about or want. :P
