My aquarium has been using the same two times 300w heaters for the last 5 years, they're connected to the Inkbird Controller.

While I was looking for new heaters, literally all of them had reviews about the heater cooking their tank.

I'm looking for a heater with its own temperature controller, so my Inkbird can be a failsafe.

Or should I just stick with my current heaters until they stop working?

Five years is a pretty long time. If your temp is stable then you're good, for now. Heaters fail alot so PERSONALLY, I think you should buy new heaters and store them away for when your old ones do stop working so that you don't stress the tank out. Plus, you have an inkbird so that's good.
