Winter is here so an important piece of equipment, the heater, is needed even more.
What heater or combo of heater and temp controller do you rely on?
Do you use two smaller heaters or one large one to get the job done?

Im currently looking at a 60gal DT and 40gal sump. Thinking either two 100watts or 150watts to an inkbird until i can afford an apex unit or similar.

I use 2 Aqua Logic controllers with BRS titanium heaters. They are plugged into an Apex for redundancy. I use 2 300w heaters on my 250 and it’s plenty. I only need 2 200 when I replace these 300s

My display tank (125g display, probably 160g total) doesn't require a heater. Between the tight fitting canopy to retain heat and the 39w uv sterilizer my water temp stays consistently 78-80.

My main growout tank has a 250w eheim Jager heater and my newest growout system has a 300w eheim Jager. No controllers.

I am using InkBird WiFi Aquarium Heater Controller with Finnex 300W Deluxe Titanium Heater. Backup control through GHL P4, in case the InkBird fails. This is on Red Sea Reefer 250.

I've always had good experiences with Cobalt NeoTherm heaters. I have the 75w model in my Fluval Evo 13.5g nano, controlled by an Inkbird. Very little fluctuation in my tank's temperature, even when the ambient temp is in the low 60s F.

2-300 watt digital heaters plugged into an Inkbird WiFi 306A dual probe controller for 200g of water.

Protects from overheat and pushes notifications of change to my phone.

Any changes can be performed remotely.

Ink bird and a 200 watt jager and 300 watt finnex titanium.
I have 1 hour up and down increments on a 100 gallon system.
I'm doubling my volume soon so I'll be switching out the 200w for a 500w finnex.

85 gallon total system with 2 BRS 300 watt titanium elements on an InkBird 306a, plugged into and further protected by a Hydros XP8. Keeps things within a degree and 2 levels of redundancy.

Same system I've been using sine 1994 :)

In my 90 gal system I have 2 x 300W heaters switched by a controller with 2 temp probes.
