My Scolymia is my first visual indicator of a lack of nitrate or phosphate in my tank, it goes from vibrant to pale very rapidly when either nitrate or phosphate is becoming limited. I'll try and take a picture of it when the lights are on, it is a little pale right now, my tank has been consuming nitrates and phosphates recently and keeps heading towards zero without consistent additions of both. It's nothing terribly special, but it when it's vibrant it is electric looking and certainly one of the brightest things in my tank at the moment.
