I have a RBTA and up until recently, my sexy shrimp hosted him. Now, the shrimp walks around and recently started eyeing up a ricordea, so I imagine he is going to host that. One of my skunk cleaners has hosted the RBTA. He hangs out on it's base and cleans it. Yes, I am sure he is not just stealing food and/or trying to eat and kill the nem. Anyone else have weird combos like that in their tank?

Fairly common for shrimp to reside in anemones, my sexy shrimp hung out in my BTA's, makes for awesome images. The anemone is the host, the shrimp is the guest/residing.

I know, its just weird to me that my cleaner hosted. Before he just ran rogue and stole food from the nem and corals, so it's strange seeing him actually getting along with the rbta

Woke up this morning here to find our BTA ate our cleaner shrimp. The cleaner shrimp use to steel its food if we didn't watch it. We thought the shrimp was harassing the anemone. Now the tables apparently turned.

Glad to hear yours is getting along with your nem!

Hah that stinks, It happened to me a few years ago with a regular anemone, the shrimp used to hang out around it and one day apparently got a little to comfortable and the same thing, i woke up to see the shrimps antennas sticking out of the mouth of the anemone. Just the circle of life i guess, just stinks the waste of money, cool to see you got a photo, i wish i did. Good Luck

Are cleaner shrimp essential to the health of the fish? We were told to get one to protect against parasites. We've had him for about two years. Should we replace it? Kind of hate to put another one in harms way.
