silent pumps for nano tanks?

hi R2R family.

im searching for a very silent mini-pump for my nano tank (3oGAL), Is a all-in-one tank, so the sump is behind de tank, what pump you recommend, also I looking for low consume of energy. my options now are:

MINI-MJ 404 WATER PUMP (106 GPH) - COBALT AQUATICS

Eheim COMPACTON 600 (159 GPH)

I have a Sicce 1.5 on my Nuvo 20. Very quiet

+1 on the sicce although sometimes they can be a little tricky to get dead silent and other times you get lucky. I have a 1 in my 10g right next to the spot I like to study and I fiddled with it a bit but it’s dialed in now. They are controllable kind of but I think restricting the flow is what gave me issues at first. So I would suggest getting one that puts out the flow you want without being turned down.

+1 on Sicce. I used this pump on a AIO frag tank that turned out dead silent. I’ve found with those pumps that it’s important to size the pump correctly for flow and head pressure to keep them dead silent long term. In this case you have next to no head pressure so the .5 would be in the range of what you’re looking for.
