Hello!

So someone watching my office tank accidentally scrapped the silicon on the side. How detrimental do you think this will be. I have a bad feeling about this and will not be able to do anything to the tank for four weeks since I am away.

it can certainly cause seam failure... you'll probably want to re-seal that corner as soon as practicable

Do you happen to remember how long it would take for silicon to dry? I might be able to put the rocks and the single fish in a bucket and do it all in one night if it can dry fast enough.

The most holding force in the seal is between the two sides of glass and the seam in between them. The excess outer layer of silicone is not critical for holding the glass together or preventing leaking.
