I was trying to find how you attached the Gyre to the Eurobrace and couldn't. Do you have an pics of that? Didn't you make an extension on it or something?
Got to Page 8 and it starts at post #150. I did make the bracket taller to get the pump lower in the water.

great, thank you. Did you make the plate that the magnet attaches to go in to the water instead of 1/2" above?

Do you think that one of these is enough on the end of the tank? I was planning on doing one on each end but after looking at these, I discovered that I could buy 3 of them for about the same price as an mp60. So I wonder if 2 on the front, one in the middle of the back, and an mp60 in in each of the lower back corners could be more even flow than 4mp60 on the back and one xf350 on the front. It would be $700 cheaper, but also 30% less flow in the rear top of the tank. I've never had a Gyre so I can concept this thing all day long and still not really know what's going to happen.

Yes exactly. It is not below the water line but its a 1/2" piece of acrylic so 1/4"below water line and 1/4" above water line. * these have to be the gyre pumps with the flow directors on top to help prevent air getting sucked in.

So IMO I would put two on the front pain if you are going the full blown sticks route. ( I will be adding another to the front pain once the sticks are actually mini colonies ( 5-6" diameter, not 2" which people call colonies)). I have been putting it off as well because I do NOT want my GIG nem to move haha.
I currently have 2 mp60s on the back wall and 4 mp40s on the back wall. My two return pumps are also part of my flow they can shoot the entire distance of the tank with no problem. I am not going to add a gyre on the back wall because I hate the cords look and gyres need maintenance frequently. In my case it would not be easy to remove to clean because the outside magnet would fall behind my tank and would drive me nuts. The fact that gyres lose efficiency within a month drives me nuts, so if the are not easily removed I wont put them in that location. Luckily I really love how they move water. Remember that gyres controllers can only drive 2 pumps and you would have to get another controller for the third pump.
If I was you I would do what you are thinking. 2 gyres in the front. 1 gyre and 2 mp 60s on the back, just be ready to maintain these pumps if you want the full output of them.

awesome, I'm so happy you were able to get this figured out in your tank first! Mine will be very easy to get to if I put the Gyres in the back, but I hate cleaning pumps so I'm already not looking forward to it. I'll start with the 2 Gyres in the front and see how I like them. It's time to find some 1/2" acrylic and start fabricating.

HA no problem! Keep me updated on your progress. You should be able to 1/2" acrylic pretty easy. Do NOT go to local HD or Lowes for plastics 10X the cost.

Well with the growth of some sticks I could tell I needed more light. It was obvious when sticks all start to grow one direction (towards the radions) and a little shading on the larger tabling pieces. Reached out to the local group and was about to get two gen 3 pros to match what I currently have. Total of 8 radions on the system now and hopefully do not require any more light.

There is ALWAYS something. Noticed this on my coral QT tank:

tank is bowing out over an 1/8th on both sides. Planning on replacing this QT tank with one of those glass Innovative Marine tanks, then weld on my own cross bracing and use this tank for another purpose. To be honest I am not happy with the mfg on this little tank, issues from beginning to end.

Added some more shelving to the fish room, with fore thought of re arranging the fish room to add a few more small systems on the back wall for fish QT or for non “reef safe” fish. If I go the QT route I was going to add a bar similar to shower curtain rod with plastic around it to contain aerosol transmission as best as possible in the room. I am sure it will look like a drug lab.

This weeks problem to deal with is a dead fan on a radion light. Current jerry rigged fix till the fan comes in today:

I have some decent size plans for an update to the fish room. I need to re arrange and make at least 7ft of room for it and the enter height of basement. I will know if it is going to go through in the next two weeks or so.

Also set up the 55 gallon again for who knows what yet, but will be ready to add a fish at anytime if needed

The rack system fell through, but since I made a couple feet of space decided to use it and get my counter space back in the fish room.

Also got in my plank avast marine feeder. I am very happy about this addition so I can get some time back without worry about my evansi going hungry. Have it feeding 5X per day small amounts and my normal 3 times a day for the big fish.

I have never seen such a small bta. Blown away how it even came about.
