If there’s anyone that owns a snowflake eel out there, what tank mates do you suggest?

Varying opinions as to whether or not they will eat larger fish, but definitely no bite sized fish like clowns as they will almost certainly be hunted over time. And snowflake eels can get pretty large, so bite sized is often bigger than you think. Depending on the size of your tank, you could go with larger tangs and stuff, but that might still be a little risky.

I have a harlequin tusk, couple tangs, large angels and a few smaller things like coris wrasse and PJ cardinals (300g). The snowflake will starting randomly trying to bite someone when I have food in the tank but doesnt seem to be hurting anything. Granted hes still small, maybe 12 inches. Some small fish or shrimp will likely disappear over time but your prob good with a lot of fish.

I have 4 morays, one being a snowflake. My snowflake does not eat tank mates or fish, but she will eat any shrimps or crabs.

I've kept one in a fowlr with butterflys, tangs, lg angle, radiata lion, clown trigger, miniatus grouper w/o issue. Took to hand feeding and was never an issue until I had to remove it from the tank. Had to remove all the rock just to get at it..lol

IMO the only good tank mates for a snowflake are venomous or poisonous fish. Mine killed a purple tang and a pearlscale butterfly—not to eat them, but they are basically a nose and teeth when food is in the water. It’s even bit me twice.
Now I only keep it with a lionfish.
Case in point—here he is eating a 3” silverside.

Mine lives with clowns, cardinals, a cowfish, hawk fish and skelator eel. All been together for 5 years with the exception of the skelator eel only a few months. There’s even blood shrimp in the same cave as him. Only thing he’s made a pass at is a skunk cleaner that I moved to another tank.

That being said—it’s more of a factor of bad eyesight and getting excited about food. As they do. They sense food in the water and they will bite at anything (including my fingers twice).
