My LFS had 10% off of fish and 20% off of coral. I picked up 2 beautiful Seriatopora and on order I have a Yasha goby. I didn’t really take advantage of the discounts as much as I normally would (I used to bring home Atleast 5 corals). But I’d say £8 ($9.67) for each of these pieces is a steal.

Kinda spoiled with the coral available here locally. Guy just posted this

I have been buying things for $10 per order, using the codes, and paying the $6 for shipping; just to be an A hole. A new box, shipping, and labor has to cost them more than $6. If they want to play stupid games, I can do the same.

Salt from Petco, the 200g box for $28 (or the bucket for $19) bucks and stacked some coupons to get a tunze scraper for $30 ($45 normally). Petco also has their 60g breeder on sale for $125.. still debating.
The 75 gallon goes on sale for $125 all the time.

Yes but the 60 breeder does not. I like lagoon tanks (or at least tanks that are wider than they are tall) which makes me hate the 75g so it's just a personal thing for me.

The only difference between the two is the 75 gallon is 6 inches taller. I understand the whole personal taste thing, for me 18 inches means limited room for coral growth. 10 inches of rock work only leaves you with 6-7 inches for coral growth.

Lots of 80 gallon shallows in here. I believe the height is the same as the 60. Big E was one of my favorites. 40 breeder is also 16 inches I think... again popular for nano's. It is definitely a workable height, lowboys are only 10" which I agree... that too short gets more.. frag tank looking.

I got rid of my 75 after 6 months. Don’t miss that 6 inches even for a second.

Definitely are not supposed to use 10 inch high rocks in a lagoon though. I am not a fan of the obvious arches/caves people make. I don't think the ocean looks like stonehenge so I sort of like the low pile rocks and height from the corals and the corals naturally create hiding spaces for fish. Everyone has their preference though and it is all good.

I guess my point was it was a good price for their 60 is all.

Reef crystals or regular?
I've never seen RC that cheap... at least not available in my area. I know in the past Petco/PetSmart have had great online deals that were "sold out" once I put my shipping address in :(

That piece is a stunner, hopefully mine gets that big eventually. Would love to have a caliendrum colony some day.

I did searches for IO salt everyday and never saw that sale

its still going today.. its not a salt sale directly, just 50% off repeat order.. limit $20, aka 1 box... so order a box (free ship) then cancel the repeat immediately. I have done their repeat promos before and it still worked for me. I suppose you could use multiple emails to get more.. maybe?
