Well Brandon and I went to check out saltwater city in atlanta over the weekend. It was a decent store. Good prices on fish and had a decent selection of coral. I will definatly visit there again. I picked up three tangs while there. A large yellow tang, a large goldband tang? (looks like a powder brown only it is black instead of brown) and a orange shoulder tang. they all seem to be doing well so far, I worried about how they would do with my powder blue, but so far they seem to be doing fine. Im sure they will be much happier when I get the new tank going. I also found a good deal on a 100 gallon sump and 40 gallon refugium (or frag tank, not sure which yet). It was made by MRC.

You have all those tangs in your tank? Isn't your tank less than 75 gals (and sure I know they live in a fish store in smaller tanks and do fine, but isn't that overload). I was worried about my 3 tangs (maybe soon to be only 2, boo hoo) in my 200gal, but of course my tangs are whoppers....

Um, just WHEN are you going to get that big tank going? Do we have to come to your place and do a big tank intervention/stand building event just to get it going? It's a shame to see that thing in the basement just waiting for fish.... You were going to build that wall first?

WE WANT PICS!!!WE WANT PICS!!!

Sounds like that tank is getting active!! Can't wait to see it. I don't think I have ever seen a gold shoulder tang, will have to look that one up.

Now go take some pictures!!!

Susan his tank is a 120 - pobably 160 total water volume. They should be alright for a while. Do you have another tang sick???? you said soon to be 2 - which one isn't doing well???

HEHE! Susan that alzeimers is getting to you. Ya my tank is a 120 plus 40 gallon sump. I originally had 7 tangs in the tank. I think between tangs and other fish at one time i had 38 fish in it. Needless to say the fish were happy but the nitrates were difficult to maintain. LOL! they got up to 60PPm nitrate at one time! OUCH. Anyway, they will be happier when I get the 350 gallon water volume going for them!

SWC is one of my two favorite stores in ATL. Sal, the owner, is awesome.

I bought my orange shoulder there as well..that must be the new hot tang for import these days. He also has had some really vibrant regals recently from xmas island.

Patrick, my powder blue has more spots. He's eating the green nori/seaweed stuff and I'm soaking it either in Zoe or Vitachem before I put it in, but he's not eating the regular food. He'll have more spots one day and less the next. He acts like he wants to eat the brine/mysis, but just can't get it into his mouth. His eyes aren't cloudy. I'm making sure that the food gets to him, he just won't eat it, or doesn't seem to be able to get it.

The purple has spots, but is still eating like a champ. The naso is eating well and is fat fat fat. I'm sad. The blue is hanging in, but I'm concerned.

I can't help it..... I'm hearing that song again.

<tick>....<tick>.....<tick>..........Another one bites the dust..........

When you going to learn...... Just pick a favorite and keep one.

And I consider you all my friends! Like, who needs enemies with you all around? The blue is hanging in there. I think my son almost killed it. I came back just in time (I hope....)

HEHE! And she is now placing the blame on someone who cant defend themselves! LOL!
Well back on topic since my thread got hyjacked!

Here are some pics, And yes susan that is a powder blue! Sorry I had to use a point and shoot camera with flash.

the goldband tang is usually all black on the main body, but I scared him with the camera so the back half is pale.

Cool looking fish!! But since we are throwing stones...Where is all the coral??? Is that in your 120?? There used to be coral everywhere in that tank. Maybe I am thinking of a different tank...going for a different look huh?? FOWLR???

Hey Brian cool fish bro! I think that is a white cheek tang??

Ya, it is a white cheek tang, brandon and I were talking about that last night, just forgot to post it here. I dont know why they called it a goldband tang.

As for the snide comments paty, It is the 120, but with the flash you cant see any corals! Jerk! :D
