Something growing in my xenia

Anyone ever seen anything like this before? Found this growing inside a xenia plug. Its kind of rubbery, I noticed it a month ago when cleaning and the xenia closed up I pulled it out and squeezed it and it popped. I thought it was gone but noticed its back and bigger.

Really ive never had it the tank before I always thought it was softer, not something ypu can pull out the tank and pop lol. Thanks for the quick replies.
