Ok.. so i have this awesome torch and haven't noticed this thing until i moved the coral to a new spot last night. This is my first torch and i notice it slimes a lot but now im wondering if its this thing doing it. Can you please help and let me know if i need to cut this thing off and get it gone.

A very large Vermetid Snail. The mucous web can irritate LPS.

I use a pair of pliers and pull the entire shell off my corals.

Awwww... he's not nasty. He's just a snail in a tube trying to catch a meal with a net. Having said that, I too would get rid of him as the net is a nuisance.
