Spots on Purple Tang

Any ideas what these might be? Otherwise acting totally normal. Had a clownfish randomly dead on bottom of tank today though.

Those are either mucus plugs and/or marine ich. I can see some spots on the fins, so I’d lean more towards ich. Do any other fish have spots yet?

The clownfish dying is likely unrelated. It would have been covered in spots if it had died from ich.

You’re going to need to treat all of the fish for ich with either coppersafe or hyposalinity. Trouble is, you can’t do that in a tank with invertebrates present.

I think you mean the only 'sick' fish. All of your fish need to be treated with copper. Perhaps your LFS can take all of them. If not - its pretty easy to set up a quarantine/hospital tank

The spots on the fins lean towards ich, the spots on the body looked larger and more elongate (a function of the photo?) and could be mucus plugs.

If you want a more firm diagnosis, post a clear video of the fish taken under white lights - I may be able to tell more. Hosting on Youtube works well for videos.
