I have about 12 fish I usually only feed them once a day. Would you recommend feeding them maybe 2 or 3 times instead?

Couldn't hurt for what you're trying to accomplish. Start target feeding too. Test every other day in the AM to ensure you're not over feeding and scale back based on consumption rate of your p04.

Really.

Your effluent is going to get super oxygenated in the skimmer. Not super exogenated in the technical term.. like above normal saturation levels but yeah, it works.

Slowly raise ALK to 10dkh and target feed with reefroids. I have add tremendous success with my SPS growth over the last 3 months. Are you currently dosing? What are your calcium and magnesium parameters? water flow, powerhead placement?

Raise alk to 10 for what? Probably end up with alk burn.

PO4 = .06-.09PPM
NO3 = 10-20PPM

Well if you look back at the thread, I made that recommendation prior to him stating that his SPS burnt. In addition, the reason this most likely occurred is due to the low phosphates in combination with the higher alkalinity.

I recommended increasing PO4 by target feeding and increasing feeding schedule to naturally increase vs dosing phosphates and the benefit to this is feeding will help with overall coral growth.

Which reactor do you use and What media do you run and what is the ALK of your effluent? Also do you use a controller to turn your CO2 on and off dependent on PH in the reactor?

I was going to say your po4 is to low for that alk level. I had to dose nutrients as well for about 2 weeks but things leveled out after a while. But I also only run my Refugium light 8-12 hours a night. And I don't run any kind of filter socks. I'd pull them. Or maybe just half of them if you have more than one. My levels stay consistent at 8.5kh, 5 ppm no3 and .1 po4. I feed twice a day pellets and 1 cube frozen my sis every other day. I only have about 7 fish on my 125. And use a tiny bit of reef roids once a week. Just takes time and patience for everything to balance out.

Feed your fish more. If you are not at home, get an auto feeder and some New Life Spectrum pellets - Ehiem feeders have been used for decades.

The ammonia/ammonium from the fish waste will do wonders.

I would not chase anything else until you do this.

I don't think I could or would run a reef tank without an auto feeder. I use an Eheim that's set to dispense NLS pellets, Formula One and Calan-Eeze 4 times a day with two spins/turns each feeding (into a feeding ring). I also feed frozen food manually throughout the day/when I'm home.

I bet your rocks will be trapping more of the po4 than you would think. If you have to always dose po4 it’s not your corals using it up nor anything that needs it, it’s getting trapped somewhere and will come out over time if you stop dosing.

Aminos make nitrate, not po4 as far as I know.

Auto feeders are awesome. Another recommendation I’m going to start making as well (where appropriate) is that folks get a handful of anthias. Not only are they amazing fish, but they force you to both be diligent about feeding and automate feeding because they need to eat multiple times throughout the day.
