Today is the 7th day of the first dose, I have enough for 2 more 7 day doses. My pills are the largest available (for dogs 51-100lbs) and I used 3 of them in approx 80 gallons of water.

I had read here on this site that 3 large pills would treat 100 gallons and was sufficient to kill the more difficult white and black bugs. If I read correctly, doses much higher than this had been done with no ill effects to corals and fish.

Any more first hand info on the subject of acro decline and remedies would be appreciated. Its an odd thing for sure, only certain corals have been difficult.

You should use 1 large tablet (not chewable) / 50g for white/black/red bugs spread out 1 week apart. I did mine for 6 weeks. Not all corals care about the bugs -- I had ones that didn't care but others did (no PE) or died. My thread.

I haven’t saw too much improvement with PE through the first 8 days of treatment. I’ll get through all of it, get the meds removed and do a decent water change before I decide if it has improved anything or not. It hasn’t even affected the million or so feather dusters in the sump, or any of the snails. It does make the skimmer go crazy though, I’ve got the water level in the skimmer way down and the collection cup drain plug out so it drains back into the sump. It’s not making much liquid right now just heavy foam. I’m wondering if I should clean the cup out in the sump and return the contents to the water.
