RTN is still sort of a mystery to our hobby and what exactly causes it. As you probably know, a big thing with SPS is Alkalinity. What is your Alk level at? Is there any chance it may have fluctuated +/- 2dhk on you in the past few weeks? Your new salt may have a different Alk level than what you were using previously which could have caused the a possible swing.

450 gallon system or a 20 gallon system; a X% water change is a X% water change. Meaning: if you changed 15% of your 450 system, than it would have the same effect that a 15% water change would have on a 20 gallon system. I wouldn't rule out that changing salts could be the cause if the salt params are vastly different.

If they are indeed dropping like fly's, than you may want to go to damage control and start fragging the corals to save them. Are they RTNing from the base or the top?

I switched the salt after they started rtn I was using esv for a half of year .im not blaming the salt for what was going on I was planning on switching anyways because to me esv is just to much unesasary work .as far as alk swing .I run a cal reactor on a neptune controller which is pretty steady .if any swicng I had was from 9.6 to 9.3 dkh which isnt much of a swing to me ...waterchanges ive been doing every few days now im up to my 3rd 30 gallon water change this morning .I really think its a bacterail infection .I have no bugs at all also
