Sps what is it

Hi I'm still new what is this coral? Sps are high light yes. I have it on the sandbed any time I move it up it starts to die off . This coral was my first coral sps in my tank. It has die off 2-3 times work so much to bring it back now its growing about to grow of the lil rock I put it on. should I just let it grow on the sand?

Looks like a montipora. If it's doing good on the sand bed then I'd leave it be.
