Love the custom stand, turned out real good
Thanks. That’s the advantage of DIY. I make the stand 40” high so I don’t have to bent to look at the fish and to fit the 30g sump easy for maintenance.
Almost ready for sand and water just working with the rocks.
Finally got my tank up and running. I add the live sand and saltwater. Don't know to start the cycling with Dr.Tim bacteria or Seachem Stability.
Start with dr Tim’s that’s good stuff. But they are probably all the same
I started with Dr. Tim. I liked it.
I used Seachem seed. It's a step up from stability.
I start my 10g quarantine with Dr. Tim but still cycling.
I never heard about Seachem Seed.
Looks good. I have the same overflow i would strongly suggest a Stockman down pipe. i built mine for 8$ and it is the best thing i have done to my set up.
Do you have a picture or how it looks? Thanks
I clipped the air hose to be about 2/3 inch long. once you get them tuned up they are great. YouTube has some great tutorials.
Ok, interesting. I will goggle it to see the description. Thanks
Ok, Great. I will look on YouTube. Thanks a lot.
This is my first water test after a week cycling my 40g with Dr Tim bacteria and ammonia. I will just leave it along for another week to see if the ammonia and nitrite goes down.
I find it weird that your ammonia is so high. It looks like you used dry rock and live sand. Where is the ammonia coming from?
