Thanks. That’s the advantage of DIY. I make the stand 40” high so I don’t have to bent to look at the fish and to fit the 30g sump easy for maintenance.

Finally got my tank up and running. I add the live sand and saltwater. Don't know to start the cycling with Dr.Tim bacteria or Seachem Stability.
 
Looks good. I have the same overflow i would strongly suggest a Stockman down pipe. i built mine for 8$ and it is the best thing i have done to my set up.
Do you have a picture or how it looks? Thanks
 
I clipped the air hose to be about 2/3 inch long. once you get them tuned up they are great. YouTube has some great tutorials.

This is my first water test after a week cycling my 40g with Dr Tim bacteria and ammonia. I will just leave it along for another week to see if the ammonia and nitrite goes down.

I find it weird that your ammonia is so high. It looks like you used dry rock and live sand. Where is the ammonia coming from?
