Hi everyone,

Went through some major changes with my tank. Did a rip clean and removed the sand, sent my fish to a hospital tank in the meantime.

Just have a starry blenny and pink streaked wrasse in a nuvo fusion 20.

Fish have never fought, although the blenny does have some very spastic movements and makes the wrasse pop out of whatever cave he's in.

I recently have noticed that the blenny is attacking every snail, they're well fed. But it seems to not take a liking to my nassarius snail and hermit.

Have had the blenny and wrasse since August last year, he's not full grown yet. Seems about 3-4 inches long.

Kinda worried he'll start attacking the wrasse or any other new fish or cuc, I put in.

I've rearranged the rocks before and this doesn't slow down the aggression.

Would it be best to rehome him? I know they're better suited for a 30, could the tank be too small?

Have three now , first one acquired 2months ago . Have looked for others yet some are just too far of a drive . This past week a LFS store posted they got some in . I bought 2 . I had put them in a 20gal long QT with a foam filter separating the two . This morning I come look and the foam had dislodged and the two were on the same side . So much for keeping them separate . I can’t get too close to them without spooking them . They quickly run and hide under limestone holey rock . . So I just went back out to look and they were siting within an eighth of an inch apart . One of them nudged the other to give them space , but not all out war . I have seen lawnmower blennies go berserk just through the glass of adjoining tanks . One of them does not have the streamers so I guess a female . the other I can’t tell yet it’s Too far tucked in . So either they won’t hurt each other or it’s too early to tell or maybe because it’s a QT tank they aren’t showing their true selves . I have to see if the other has steamers . If it doesnt maybe it’s just a female also and does not show aggression . When I was buying two , the guy says you can’t buy two they will fight . I told him I was trying to find a pair and that I would have to go thru several specimens to try . He reiterated his statement . If there is aggression I will put into different tanks this time . Once I see if the other doesn’t have steamers , I will go back for another one .
