Hello Reefers, I am new to the saltwater hobby and just ordered my first tank from waterbox. I am well versed to freshwater aquarium being that I work at my LFS (In the freshwater department) and have a wealth of knowledge through my co-workers, but am finally getting into the saltwater part of things. The tank is expected to arrive within the next 4-6 weeks and I have been trying to do as much preliminary research as I can. Have already purchased red sea led 60 g2 because of sale at work for Black Friday but willing to take advice on other essentials (ex: heater, powerhead, sand, live rock). I have a quick potential stocking list on things that I have found to be interesting to me personally but would love to hear your thoughts! I will attach a photo below. I know want to have Zoas in this tank but as to other corals would also love to have suggestions that will work with this light, I am planning to get powerhead and also willing to dose. Let me know on any suggestions or overall thoughts!

You might want to wait on the urchin until your tank matures a bit. Maybe get a few snails instead....Astrea or trochus. The rest seems fine for a 25 AIO Oh and Welcome to Reef2Reef

Welcome to the salty side :D
I assume this is the WB25 Peninsula? I have one and it’s a nice little tank (I reaalllyy need to start a build thread).
Stocking list looks fine though I agree with @Sam7 that you may want to wait on an urchin until the tank is more established.
It’s late for me but I’ll try respond tomorrow with some info on my tank for comparison to give you some ideas :)

Your stock looks fine! Sometimes gobies can be aggressive if you have multiple species in a smaller tank. You should be fine, though, with your tank!

Agree with waiting on the urchin. I'm starting up this tank once I break down my 83. Already have the tank imprisoning two clowns that will be moving.

Your stocking is certainly light enough. A pinkie, hector and yasha leave room for another peaceful free swimmer--maybe a royal gramma or a blenny--or hybrid cave dweller/swimmer like a firefish. I'd stick with the smaller blennies if you go that route, like a barnacle or tailspot blenny, as the larger ones might get a bit territorial in a nano.

If you plan on exercising more control on nutrients/algae, I am planning a Santa Monica 1.2x drop in algae scrubber for mine. Can report on how that is working.

Best heater I've experienced is the Helio system, but that's also primo price tag. I usually use an Inkbird with a cheaper eheim heater as a backup in case of Helio failure.

I immediately threw out the filter sock--hate them--and am working on a cup/filter floss alternative.

I am just now trying out a Hygger 12w gyre for this tank and can also report back on how well it is moving water.

True, I tried to find species that would potentially work together but definitely open to criticism and suggestions! Thank you!

Thank you for all of the suggestions, definitely have thought about the potential of a blenny just not sure on the specifics of it yet. Definitely keep us updated on the tank! Thank you!
