Stocking 40 breeder ideas

I was thinking of fish to put in a 40 breeder. There's some things that the fish need to be and that is reef safe and will get along with one another. Doesn't have to be fully reef safe. I like to gamble at times to have an awesome fish. I don't care if it's predator or peaceful and everything in between. I want to see all options that I could do. I love fish it's my favorite part of a tank. So, let's hear everybody's ideas? Oh and budget I'm not worried about as long as the fish isn't more than say 500. I'll take months to stock a tank to make it awesome to save money and get something special.

Wrasse! you can get some really cool looking wrasse with that kind of money!

I like wrasse especially some leopard wrasse but haven't looked to much into them.

I would love to have a flame wrasse and blue striped tamarin wrasse if I had the money. granted the tamarin is quite a bit above the $500 mark. lol

Blue striped tamarin wrasse looks amazing. Would be an interesting addition. Any more ideas?

Oh and the fish don't have to be invert safe I can do without them

Depending how much of a chance you want to take on being reef safe I've always thought the flame angel was a great looking fish.

They aren't hyper expensive or unusual but a potters angel or coral beauty are gorgeous. they can be polyp nippers so feed them well.

I am currently in love with my royal gramma. he is feisty but not overly aggressive and super curious with lots of personality. also a not expensive or rare.

Some of the rarer sailfin blennies are gorgeous and often overlooked. I've never met one that wasn't a character either. I highly recommend googling them to see the stunning variety. Totally awesome fish.

Rooster waspfish, plectranthias, sunburst anthias, orangespot blenny, stigmatura blenny, royal gramma, swales basslet, pearly jawfish, pike blenny.

That's an interesting list and I really like that and I'm going with that's just putting one of each fish in not multiples?

Blue star lepord wrasse... my favorite and I'm lucky to have 2 in qt for 2 weeks now eating frozen mysis, pods and live worms.

Yeah, one each. Though the pike blenny and pearly jaw can be kept as multiples.
