My current situation is I have the following fish in a 120 4x2 tank and I am moving them into a 180G. Id also like to add more fish to the tank PRIOR to the move so they can all go into the 180 at the same time to limit aggression.

Porcupine Puffer 4.5" **Other than his sweet tooth for sand sifting gobies he's a model citizen
Snowflake Eel - 16" **Minds his own business doesn't bother anyone
Niger Trigger 4" **Little attitude with this guy
Maroon Clownfish 3" **Stays in his lane
Dusky Wrasse 3.5" **Chases trigger around doesn't back down to anything
Flame Hawkfish 2.5" ** Hides up on rocks and return nozzles

** Forgot to add I have a 3" Hippo tang and a 3" yellow eye kole tang im also going to be moving in to the 180 from another tank

The Hawkfish and Wrasse were both ejected from reef system for being bullied or being the bully (I know neither of them really fit a FOWLR tank but here we are)

I need some help finding some cool fish to add to this system that will work long term. My kids so far have made this tank kinda "boring to me" with the stocking choices. I want to add some fish that are not as common. I love emperor angels but everyone has them and i wanna add something unique to the tank. I have thought about dropping some of the fish from the 120 prior to going into the 180 as well. So if you have any good ideas about a fish but think oh his trigger wont get along with that let me know and maybe i can find a new home for the trigger i have to make room for a new fish. The only fish that are a MUST to go into the 180 are the Puffer/Eel everything else is fair game.

Looks like you're off to a good start. I think a dwarf type lionfish would be a great addition. Also a juvenile Angel so you can watch it transform. I'm a grouper lover so that's another option but they get big and will eat your smaller fish. Top it off with a couple butterflys and your done!

I also like groupers, but some will outgrow even a 180 in less than a year.

I think a Bluethroat or Pinktail trigger would be awesome. Im also a really big fan of the Harliquin Tusk. Or possibly a somewhat carnivorous Tang...
