I think I will be setting up a 40 gal fowlr and was looking for some stocking ideas. Everytime I go onto liveaquaria I change my mind. I want to keep fish that are colorful, have an intresting personality or something don't see in a lot of tanks. Any ideas would be great thanks.

40 gallons doesn't give you a ton of room for fish. You'll be limited to smaller fish and you'll be limited to only a few of them most likely.

Do consider a reef tank though... you can fit a TON of corals in a 40 gallon :)

Ok so I think I may do I Fiji Biotope. I may go with a bigger tank as well. I have been looking a little and fond a list of fish I like. Here they are listed from my favorite to my lest favorite. The fish with the * are if I go with a bigger tank.
(these are the common names list by liveaquaria)
Longnose hawkfish
Humu Picasso trigger*
Red tail flasher wrasse
Two-line monocle bream
Lyretail hogfish *
lemonpeel angel
Fiji barberi clow

I still need to Do more research on all these fish and find out their compatibility. This list may not be the stock list just a list of fish I saw that I would like to have.
