I received the new Kamoer X1 Pro head and just calibrated and tested it. Setup was trouble free.
I tested the same way I tested the Red Sea units: Dosing RODI into a beaker on a gram scale.
The Kamoer is accurate... tell it to dose 10ml and the scale is is reading 10.00, tell it dose 8ml and the scale reads 8.00. So, you cannot go wrong with either unit. The only further test is to see how well both units hold calibration going forward.

I started with X1s and went to a ReefDose 4. I love both but the main reason I went to a ReefDose is the x1s take up a lot of room when you have 4 of em.
That's the biggest reason I haven't gotten any X1s yet. That's a lot of space to set aside for the dosing system

If you set them side by side, the X1s are like twice the space of a Reefdose. That was my main thing with them. I bought a cabinet to hold all my dosing stuff but the x1s wouldnt fit :(

Gotcha. I believe @MichaelReefer was saying he has the Bluetooth X1s which are wider I think. So 4 of those take up more space comparatively

Good to know that the X1 pros would be the same size!

Oh, maybe...my bad. Sorry Michael!

And yeah, both pumps are awesome and dead accurate. If you wanted to add as you go, the X1 Pro 2's make sense... every 4 pumps would use an extra 1/2" of space. Not a big deal. Only need 3 heads?? Grab 3 for now. Decide you need a 4th pump like I just did? $90 and daisy chain it with the others. You can string 4 together and only use one outlet. They are quieter than the RedSea as well. In fact, the X1 Pro 2 pumps are the quietest pumps I've ever used.

The RedSea app does offer more features than the Kamoer app does. How important those features are is up to you.

Have you had issues with the Wi-Fi connectivity for the pros? Or was the the generation 1 version of them that had connectivity issues

I've had zero issues with them. Setup was easy and fast. Calibration was easy and accurate. and they've held calibration very well.

I don’t. It was more so if I bought a doser that has a 4th channel that I didn’t need to use

Same... I started with 3 heads for dosing 2 part. I just added the 4th head tonight for aminos. I had a Coralbox doser doing it but it's so bad I never knew if it actually dosed or lost syphon (again).

This is one of the reasons I went Kamoer F4
The 4 heads doser is tiny comped to the x1. I was not willing to settle to manual setting too :)

I just use a cheapo doser from Ebay. I think about $100.

Modified and connected to a Profilux 4 S port, and so the pump is calibrated in the profilux controller,

Accurate to about 0.2ml per dose which is good enough for controlling Balling dosing.

Is that 100 for how many heads?
