Hi all. I am so new to salt water, I ony have freshwater tanks. About a year ago I was mid-bachelors program, scrolling YouTube during a brain melt, and found tank scaping. I built a 3 gallon and then upgraded to a 20 gallon for a grad gift to myself, and they’re wonderful, but missing sparkle. I adore a mixed reef tank, everything about them is amazing, the rock, the fish, the corals. I am building my scape for a 32 gallon aio, with the goal of a clownfish pair to start.
I’m a rigid, control freak, type a (dental hygienist), but I’m working slowly and enjoying the process of one thing at a time. I love learning new things, and this hobby is allowing me to keep busy, while I avoid going for my Masters of DH. I began this journey with a 30 gallon cube in mind, I started researching (here’s where the type a comes in handy), I read too much after three months and thought I’d switch to a 60 or 90 gallon (here’s where the type a ran amok of common sense) and I now I have a reasonable starter tank that I’m super excited about.
I’ll be posting a pic of my rock work in the aquascape thread next, and here’s a pic of my fresh tank.
