I put two smatfarm g3's on my mixed IM 25g. I did have a hydra 26 but had shadowing.
The coverage is good with the two g3's but I hate the white channels look even at 1% i feel it over powers the other two channels.
Im thinking adding a led bar might help but not sure which to choose...full spectrum, actinic? Brand?

I love the colors of my Orphek or4 blue plus. I would call it prismatic even! You have to have wifi to setup any ramp or intensity, there are no knobs or buttons. Hopefully others have had better support when needed but for me support has been non-existant.

Ok thanks yall, I'd not heard of thay brand yet.
They don’t have all the bells and whistles of other brands, but they have the spectrum where it counts, blending is second to none and they are dimmable via 0-10v. Quanta gives you twice the diodes than Orphek and they have quality drivers as well. If you buy a combo pack, they’re actually cheaper and you get free tank mounts. Who else is doing it like Luca? No one. Big brands names come with big price tags and that doesn’t always translates to quality/savings. I could easily light a tank with helix bars alone (and there are plenty that do). The meso blue is basically a combo of old school actinic vho and ATI blue +.

What combo will get me the best actinic look for coral pop, as well as a mild daytime look? I don’t want too much white light, just not actinic all day

How many bars are you looking to add? A combo of meso blue and reef crest daylight would probably work, but I honestly would email Luca and he'll help you out. Tell him exactly what you want to accomplish and he'll set you right. Email him here.

I’m second guessing these lights due to him not having a rear tank mounting option.
Unless someone has any ideas. I’d much rather buy something made in the USA 🇺🇸

K. Cleven on IG makes the mounts for Luca, so I would reach out to him or ask Luca about mounting options.
Luca says he doesn’t want to make rear mounts due to the weight on the glass. I have an AIO and the rear sump area is partitioned and therefore reinforced so I think it would be ok, plus I’d be getting two of the smallest lights for my nano

There are Helix hybrid mounting options for some existing lights. As mentioned, hit up k.cleven and see what he says.

As for the "made in USA" thing, good luck. You'll find some stuff ASSEMBLED here, but almost nothing MADE here. I'll say that from a spectrum standpoint, the Quanta Helix Meso Blue is probably the best fill light out there. Full stop. If you combine them with the Reefcrest Daylight bars, you could have one of the best "full spectrum" reef lighting options available.

I wouldn't touch ReefBrites even if I was spending YOUR money. So many better options for a lot less money.

Too bad, those RB xho's are cheap LEDs that are overpriced, but make it easy with the add-on kit. Time for an 8020 light rack. 😜
That’s how I constructed my last light mount. In the ceiling of a basement. It’s coming down so I’ll have a lot of spare pieces if I were to go that route

Does anyone have an alternate way to get ahold of that light mount guy? I’m not on IG
