Swapping rocks between tanks.

Im settings up another 40 gallon reef tank. Im getting the tank used its coming with some year old live rock. I want to move half of the rock from my current tank to the new one. Basically everything in the display photo that has mushrooms and zoas on it.
And replace it with the other rock. That way i have a dedicated sps tank and soft coral tank.
What kind of issues will have and whats the best way to go about it.

Simple answer... Just do it.
Without writing a book, know that the probability (notice i didn't say POSSIBILITY)
of moving baddies from the old to the new tank is high. Baddies being described as bristle worms, AEFW, Asternia, or whatever else that can be a minor or major issue.
That all said, you'll most likely be fine. Unless you are dramatically changing bio load in either tank after moving rock around, you should be fine. The possibility of minor fluctuations in parameters is probable, jut I would just keep an eye and move forward with your plan. The TLDR is "Don't lose sleep over it"
