take my fish

well, it's time for me to get out of this hobby for now. being motivated to get a reef tank because of a girl is not advised. hence, i'm not looking to carry on with this much work and money, solo. haha. i've got an orange clown, a large purple damsel, a smaller yellow damsel, a cleaner shrimp, and a hermit crab. i'd love to get rid of them stat. if you feel like you'd like to throw a few bucks my way, that'd be appreciated, but i'm not "selling" them. really just want the fish gone so i can work on selling/getting rid of the tank and equipment. oh, also have a head of polyps from bhamr6 and some maroon mushrooms if anyone would like those. i'm downtown bham, near the golf course.

ok, cool. as of now, nck1992 is going to take the fish and coral. and boy, i'd love to have a motorcycle... haha.

ricky, here's what i got: 44 gallon corner pentagon, eheim classic canister, sea clone protein skimmer, heater, 150W MH viper clip-on, 2 hydor koralia #2's, tap water filter, not much for rock, and then of course a ton of accessories/testing equip/chemicals/etc.

i paid initially 350 for the tank/stand and then have put a few more hundred in to upgrades and stocking. really, at this point, i'm open to hear what you would offer. i'd love to sell it to this community since everyone here has been so nice. it's a shame to get rid of it, but i can't do it at this point. PM me what you'd be willing to offer. i of course don't want to be low-balled, but am definitely willing to take a cut if it can help any of you out, especially so since you all had offered much help to me.

I used to have a Harley, a nice 4 wheel drive, and a dune buggy, seems like all my toys disappeared a year or so into getting married. now shes gone, and I still have no toys. I think I will put up a little fight over my aquariums, it is the one thing that brings me a little peace in this hectic world.

was also thinking this morning that i'd trade for a nano kit, if anyone digs that idea. could see myself starting one up later on. much less work.

i dont know bout the nano's being less work. i have a 120, a 60, and a 12gal nano. by far the nano is the most work. jmho.

paul, sorry, but lauren picked up the hydors last night.

concerning the nano, i remember talking with freddy a while back, and him saying it was pretty stinkin easy. gallon water changes and such. also, i wasn't running a sump on my tank and wasn't getting enough filtration. hence, i was cleaning the canister and changing an obscene amount of water. that's the reasoning for believing the nano to be a bit easier.

I had the best luck w/th my nano it was a nano cube 24g and all i ever did was put a bigger return pump on it $30 bucks i think and a 150 watt halide..
Great tank and it wasnt bad to take care of

I agree with Paul.Done properlly can be a great tank.The general rule of thumb is bigger is better.That meaning the larger water volume is more stable.You will eventually run out of room but that happens with what ever size tank you have.My 210gal is full so now I need to start another one up.LOLThere goes the bank account agin.
