Yes it is, but it will live with the flame from a candle.

Patchogue is about 20 minutes from me. I am going there tomorrow and every week because I take my wife there for PT for her MS.
August is the peak boating season. My boat is no longer in the Long Island Sound. Now I am in Peconic bay which is the water in between the north fork and the south fork of long Island. It's about a 20 mile stretch of salt water that connects to the Atlantic. It is also much shallower than the Sound.

Why are you coming here?
Celebration of life for brother-in-law who lived in Patchogue . One of his sons has a 35’ Bertram at Sag Harbor, he lives in East Hampton.

PS:
I would love to harvest clams and have a cook out with super models.

I am going to my shoulder surgeon this morning. This is the first time I am seeing him since the surgery a month ago. I hope he doesn't want to take it out and do it over again.

Now my other arm hurts more and I fear he will have to fix the rotator cuff there also. This last one was my 7th rotator cuff repair.

You would think they would install grease fittings on these things if they know they don't work very well.
I am sure I could have designed a better shoulder. Maybe use some aluminum. Anodized aluminum, not that cheap Home Depot stuff.

Speaking of Home Depot. The one here almost burnt down yesterday. There was a big fire there and the store is now closed.
Perhaps the doc should install grease zirks so you can keep it lubed between check ups!

Subsea, plenty of Supermodels here as I am very close to the Hamptons. The place I normally hang out in my boat is there but Christie Brinkley doesn't look at me any more. She didn't look at me 40 years ago either but she was busy posing for magazines then.

I am very happy that this "all electric" Jeep is coming out next year in the States. We have the exact same Jeep Compass in red and we love the thing. :)

Of course I already have a Jeep in this color and I like it. The only problem is sometimes there are dozens of canaries on the hood, and I can't see them.

We already have this one in this color. Actually, it's my wife's :) But I sometimes steal it.

Give this a look

It looks very nice and one price is less than $40.000. Right now I am still holding out for American made but that would be my next choice.....Thanks

Where in New Hyde Park are you. I just moved from there and was there 40 years. I was between Hillside and Jericho near New Hyde Park rd.

A guy on a UK forum asked what's your QT schedule. I replied with the following.
"Float for 10 mins then release into DT throwing the water away as it probably contains copper."
I was told by a n other that's not really a QT method. That's a maybe but it's what works for me everytime. I also said it was a bit of light hearted banter to be told but we know where that leads. I think he means heated arguments but I don't get heated I just tell it as it is and works for me, if others want to take issue with it then that's up to them not me. Been there done that Paul.

I think they were quarantined enough on their 24 hour ride in a bag from wherever they were collected. :)
And probably before they were dumped in copper. Then removed again to be put into more copper or other nasty chemicals.

It's a little cold and windy here this morning but I still walked. Now I have to get in my elevator shaft because the thing is making a big bang when it comes down. These things never break in nice weather. :(

(we have a small, handicap elevator mostly for my wife, it has 3 stops)

I am hoping it is an easy, quick fix for a few reasons one being I still need to do most things with one arm because my shoulder surgery was only 4 weeks ago. And the other reason is it's cold and windy and I would like to do other things than hang out under an elevator on a ladder in a shaft.

No worries, elevator is fixed. There was a piece of wooden moulding from the door sticking out from the frame that I just had to cut off. The bottom of the car was hitting it every time it went down and it was getting louder and louder because every time the car hit it, more of it stuck out. The sliding door had an awful squeek so I had to re adjust the door.

I also made a stainless steel ramp on the first floor so my wife can get in easier with her walker but the guys with the snow shovels bent it so I removed it and straightened it. All is well and the thing is very quiet.

I spent many hours in and on top of elevators in the City as an electrician. The World Trade Center elevators were fun to ride on top because there are no walls between the shafts and the cars fly past each other very fast.

It's a nice rush. :D

I think my large Janss Pipefish may have gone to the big plumbing supply in the sky. I haven't seen him in a few days and he normally sticks out his snout at feeding time.

If he is gone, he has had a good run because he was about 7 years old and I think that is about that lifespan for that fish. I am guessing because I never had one for this long but they are cool fish and I will try (but probably fail) to get another one.

I have only seen 2 or 3 of them in my lifetime except for the two that I had.

Not sure myself Paul but it seems lots on here have major problems with it. Might be some firm of fungus growing on the fish. You need to ki the fish quickly with some form of poison like copper or whatever it is the Russians use to wipe things out.
