I did see some Aussies in VietNam. I don't remember any Canadians, but they may have been there somewhere. 😎

I wasn't in WW11, so I don't know exactly who was there with us. 🇺🇸
134 Canadian names on the wall in Washington , 300,000 joined the US Army .

This is true, but for the life of me I can hardly understand "youse" guys. 😬

We watch a few British TV shows here and I need a translator for much of it. We also have a lot of TV stars who somehow hide their British accent and play Americans. They do it so well that I can't detect any British accent. Do you have any TV shows there who feature Americans and they have a British accent?

For example, we had a doctor show named "House". (Hugh Lauri I think) I forgot the name of the actor, but he spoke perfect American unless he was interviewed or something. And another doctor show named "The Good Doctor". When he spoke British, He sounded like one of the Beatles. 😀

I like most of the "Doctor Who", shows and my wife watches "Call the Midwife" which is filmed in England somewhere.

One of my favorite shows is "The Repair Shop" which I watched all the episodes more than once and I used to watch the Great British Baking Show because I like to cook. (and because I am very Manly, I bungee jump after each episode) 😎
My wife watches American soaps on Sky TV Chicago fire and lots of others I don'tknow what they are called. I don't as I have no time for them. I watch documentaries some sport and little else.

I watch the repair shop.sometimes and a show called bangers and cash. Where they auction old cars. Then another called shed and buried where 2 guys travel the country looking for old stuff mainly motorbikes and cars but also other vintage motor related stuff. They do a little to them to fix thrm.up and sell for a profit.

I don't watch cooking programs they are for sissy's in aprons 😆 😅 😉

Pardon ME ? How about Canada Australia , And any other Common Wealth Country Vimy Ridge Ring A bell Where Canadians were Sacrificed Also in WWII
Yes if course how bad of me to forget the other countries including but not limited to the commonwealth. They all played their part. My sincere apologies for not mentioning them earlier.

Just a note, the UK did stand alone in the battle of Britain against overwhelming odds. Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few.

I am recovering well but still can't move my right arm much and it is still very weak. I can't yet even snap on the seatbelt on my car.

Last night I heard a big crash. I ran in the master bedroom and my wife fell on the tile floor. Her walker also fell making the big crash. This is becoming a common occurrence now and due to my surgery, I couldn't even help her. I would normally drag her to the bed where she would put her arms up on the mattress and I would pick up her legs to throw them on the bed.

Of course I can't do that now. 😕
Sorry to hear that Paul, it must be a worry for you. I hope you get your arm strength back soon.

Freenow, I have gone to the wall a few times.

And this year they sent me on the "Honor Flight" with 49 other combat Vets to DC on a plane. At the airport at 6:00am they had a huge bagpipe band with dozens of people. Then in DC we had a motorcycle escort to the monuments. They gave us each a guide, then dinner. We got back to New York at 2:00am the next day. It was great.

This is the guide they gave me for the Honor Flight

And unfortunately, this part of the Wall shows the guys that died in a particularly horrendous battle I was in on April 1st 1970. There were almost 50 of them.

Paul, you are much better looked after there in the US than our veterans here in the UK. We have over a thousand living rough in the street homeless while we put illegal immigrants up in 4 star hotels. I kid you not, its shameful to say the least.

We also did the same thing here Atol. Now I think we threw them out of those hotels but we still have thousands of homeless Veterans on the streets.

Supposedly we still have 32,882 homeless Veterans here.

Crying shame Paul, many suffering from combat mental illness. We have lots of charities for ex vets with millions in the bank CEOs on mega salaries, Shameless and disgusting.

Read a Book about Sir Douglas Bader. It is a story of a RAF fighter Pilot who lost both his legs showing off for a girl before the war , and because of the war got back in and was a wing Commander made up of strictly

the tank looks very healthy. all the fish are active and happy looking. i have been feeding my whteworms yogurt and they doubled in numbers so i can give more of them to my fish. i have a lot of large pieces of codium seaweed floating around beause i need 2 hands to secure it.

i also have large strands of nusience algae growing mostly in the back.. i normally suck that out with my diy canister filter.

my neighbor came over to help with that and it has been runnng for a few hours so the tank is crystal clear and soon he will remove it to clean.

i may build another one of those and give it away just to get an opinion on its use. i dont think i will go into business or anything but if i do, i will advertise on here. or maybe i will just give them away.

i dont know how anyone can be in this hobby long term without this type of maintenance tool.
I'll buy one!

Happy Veterans Day and thank you to all who have served!
Thanks To Paul , and all who served to keep Democracy Intact , and help those who are ignorant of what that actually means be educated
