This Morning, it is pouring rain. No one was out, not even birds, but Vietnam Veterans don't care about rain, so I went to the beach.

(It could never rain here in the US like the Monsoons in a jungle) 🥺

I normally walk down a lot of steps, then walk west. Since we had a tough winter, much of the sand is gone, so I couldn't go too far. I walked until the surf came over my boots, then turned around before the tide came up too much, which would have forced me to swim back. The sea is now about 45 degrees, so it wouldn't be prudent at this juncture.

My magnifica anemone which I have had for over 4 years has split one since I have had it. When it last split it took months to do so it seens. It starts with it stretching over to another rock close by each day only to retract back in the evening. After months of this activity, eventually it split.

For the last 6 months or so I have noticed this behaviour all over again and my nem has either split again or is very close to doing so. Not easy seeing the complete split till they move apart a little. However, all the signs are there.

My magnifica before splitting.

Now with it either split or close to completing it's split.
Last 2 photos taken with no lights on hence the colour.

Let's remember that today, Memorial Day is to honor all the Americans that died in battle defending the US and keeping us free. 🇺🇸

Atoll, I really don't like anemones. I didn't put them in my tank and they are all over the place. I purposely don't feed them or I would have nothing else in the tank except them. I must have 25 of them. 🥺

Noooo Paul you are probably talking about bubble tip anemones not the likes of Magnificas. Mine has stayed put since the day I placed it in my tank. In over 4 years this will be only the 2nd such splitting and I have a L O N G waiting list for one and they fetch very good money here esp when as nice as mine is.

Atoll, yours are beautiful. Mine are not Magnificas. Mine are Annoyingnificas.
I am glad they stay in the back. If I could, I would juice them and pour them down the drain in my in sinkerator. 😬

And there lies the difference Paul 😃

Real Men don't own umbrellas. I never had one and as a Jungle Veteran, I have no problem with rain. I can sleep in it, eat in it and do everything else in it. 😎
We were talking about going to the Oregon coast today, but the weather report is no bueno. I said to my daughter "and we don't have enough umbrellas for everyone." My daughter replied "Umbrellas are for tourists."

We are in the middle of an heatwave here in the UK. I would love a good downpour right now.
I will send you some We have had about 6 days of sun all month just squeezing the grass cutting in with a shoe horn

Most don't even know what restored means 😒
Most is probably technically true, but I see lots of young people whenever I go to a car show. They have a fundraising event in Junction City near here which is a weekend long car show and people line the streets for the parade

Newest one shown here without the glass dome on. I am not sure what I will do with it yet.

My 9 year old son says, "That's so cool!"

I agree 😃

I was advised not to use the term "happy" on this solemn day.
This is correct, Thank you.

It has been raining here for weeks. As soon as it stopped snowing, it started raining and the news keeps saying we are in drought. Maybe Noah's flood would fix it.
