I have a 3 month 20g tank and my corals are all closed up and my clownfish is stressed out. This happaned to me 10 days ago and one of my fishes died. Temp is stable. Salinity is at 35ppt. Kh was 8.4 all the time. I added fresh activated carbon as soon as i saw something was wrong, water is crystal clear, no stray voltage no anonia. Tank was doing good for 4 days and my surviveing clownfish was in qt tank and i put him back. Yesterday it all happened again and i noticed KH dropped to 7.7. check the video and please help.

Definitely going to need to provide more details regarding your other parameters. That is a small tank to put corals into while only being 3 months old. Tanks that small suffer from almost instant instability issues. Swings in a smaller tank arent felt as much in a larger tank.

Gut says you went all in too soon and the tank isnt mature enough yet to handle the bio load you have in there.

Yes i knew its a gable but i didnt have an idea that the losses can be this bad. Definitely gregreting i didnt get a bigger tank. Let me know what parameters would you like me to provide

How did you cycle your tank?

Flow and light of your tank?

Any recent changes?

Photo or video of your tank? (Not seeing the video that you “posted”)

Time frame of when you added stuff to your tank?

Ammonia present in your tank?

What test kits are you using?

One dead fish is not a tank crash.

Can you show a full tank picture of your tank, this really helps us. How many and what kind of fish is in the tank?

The kh drop seems more like a test error than an actual drop. What kind of test kit are you using?

Well its not about one dead fish its about the second one about to die and all my corals with it 😂

Did the test twice to confirm the resault. Using Salifert test kit.

What kind of light do you have? The mushroom (I think its a mushroom) on the bottom is stretching up, and there is lots of shade on the sand, some of the corals are in the shade.

Did you quarantine the fish before adding them to your tank? How long have they been in your tank?

Clowns and mushroms were in the tank since it was done cycleing and they were doing amazing with that amount of light. Its Aqua Medic Qube 50
