All,
My fish room/office is not connected to our Central Heat and Air. So I have a small floor heater for the Winter.
I went in the this morning for my coffee and fish time and my tank was running 87 degrees.
I got my insta-read out and confirmed it.
The room is 87 degrees as well.
I've got no windows and no way to get cold air in, so I turned on my floor fan and have it blowing full speed.
I got 2 bags of ice and double ziplocked thema and put them in the sump. I put the galllon back in the main compartment right before the return and the quart bag in the return chamber.
Is there any thing I need to be careful of, not lowering it too quick, lowering it too slow, etc???
I've had the Ice in for about 5 mins and went from 87.2-86.1, is this ok
I can get more ice and more bags, I have them on hand (I like to cook), and lower it faster, but I am not sure I want to shock them with an ice bath.
