You have zero TDS on the output. You have said that many times. You ar expected to have TDS > 0 going into your DI.

All that matters is the last meter.

The second to last matters because when you initially turn on the RODI there will be dissolved solids on the "clean" side of the RO membrane. You're supposed to flush those for about five minutes until they get lower. I live in coastal California, and it NEVER gets below 8. We have very hard water.

Well, i am hitting my two year anniversary on March 1st.

I had a larger tank before this one that was up and running for 2 years and i never saw what i am dealing with. Not sure if tank size mattered. But this is definitely a first.

But yes, it was a dry rock set up.
I know it doesn't address your TDS issue, but as others have suggested probably unlikely to cause that much of an issue. I change the filters out regularly, but I know people certainly run the filters and DI stage until it is more exhausted than 1 TDS.

You can try to troubleshoot the TDS issue as you're asking here. If it doesn't work, then anecdotally what worked for my tank that went through really crazy algae blooms for over 2 years of a dry start was adding 10 pounds of live rock (I shipped it in water from KPaquatics) and on two occasions about a year apart for fun I ordered the live sand activator package from indopacific sea farms. I don't know if it was the live ocean bacteria, time, or a really nice hitchhiker (I got a pencil urchin the size of a marble on the KP rock which is now full sized and is a cleaning powerhouse and fortunately has left coral alone). My tank nitrates are 80 and phosphate 1.1 ppm. The tank has zero nuisance algae issues. It was really bad in the first couple years, almost discouraging enough that you want to leave the hobby.

There seems confusion on where you have the meters. I assumed the #3 was the last one, after the di.

If, as some folks note, the tds after the di is 0, all is well.

If true, move on to other concerns. lol

Packing that mixed bed resin tightly into the di cartridge is important. Just pouring some in may be inadequate.
This is what I buy on Amazon . I bought 2 still unopened second . You have to keep it in an airtight container after opening , and no light . I made a container out of 4 inch ABS with a female pipe receptacle on one end the other is threaded female and put a cap male thread in that . I do pack it but it is so fine it settles itself quit well. You should get some saves money . One cartridge fill lasts me 6 months when I change all my filters also from amazon . I am not familiar with BRS prices as they will ship to me but only by courier which involves a " Brocker " the shipping costs a fortune which started me buying on Amazon free shipping . I try to support all LFS but they wont try . They could always use USPS . I know for a fact that it works , and has tracking numbers as I had an E Bay business

, and shipped to the US constantly without a hitch. Anyway sorry the DI resin is excellent
